About profyle.jobs

The job behind the ad. The person behind the CV.

profyle.jobs is a small Sydney project rebuilding the job board around what both sides need to know before the first call. The job half is live today, the person half is in build.

Our mission

The first 30 minutes of any hire is two strangers verifying things that should already be on the page.

I have spent most of my career as an engineering manager hiring with TAs, and the same loop kept playing out: a recruiter messages a candidate, the candidate Googles the company, the candidate applies, then a screening call is spent re-establishing things both sides could have read in five minutes: title scope, salary band if shared, team size, whether the role is actually senior, whether the candidate is actually open.

That loop is expensive for everyone. Candidates pull a sickie for an interview that didn’t need to happen. TAs burn their week qualifying mismatches. Hiring managers like me sit through screening calls that should have been a paragraph.

profyle.jobs is the shortcut I wanted. Today, every company and role on it is rewritten in plain English: what they build, how they hire, what the job is actually like. Soon, you’ll tell us what you’re after in your own words and see only the roles that fit. Every application will reach the employer with a briefing in the candidate’s own words, so no one walks into the first call cold.

What we’re building

What profyle is, when it’s done.

The space between “interesting role” and “first interview” is where most hiring time gets wasted, for both sides. We close that gap from four angles, some live today, more in build.

01

Live

Know the company

Each company gets profiled in plain English: what they build, who uses it, what they’ve told the world about how they work, the press and funding behind them. Less marketing site, more public record.

02

Live

Know the role and how they operate

Each role spells out the pitch, the work, the skills, the requirements, plus the engineering stack, in-office cadence, and how decisions get made. The things you’d ask in week one, before week one.

03

Soon

Curated to what you’re after

You’ll tell us once, in your own words, what you’re looking for, and see only the roles that fit. No more scanning a hundred listings to find three.

04

Soon

A briefing with every application

Recruiters won’t just get a CV. Each application arrives with a briefing in the candidate’s own words: why this role, what they’re looking for, and where they don’t fit. No score, no ranking. The decision stays with the employer.
