Legal · Terms of use

The agreement, in plain English.

The agreement between you and profyle.jobs, written so a normal person can read it. If something below contradicts something a salesperson told you, this wins.

Free for candidates

The short version

  • Candidates

Free, always. Don’t impersonate someone, don’t scrape the site. You own what you write in your profyle.

  • Employers

During beta we onboard companies by hand and don’t charge. You can correct your page, and we can take down anything misleading or illegal.

01

Who we are

Who we are

profyle.jobs is an independent project based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. When you see “profyle”, “we”, “us” or “our” below, that’s who you’re agreeing with. When you see “you”, that’s whoever is reading the site or signed in to an account.

By using profyle.jobs, you’re agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree, the simplest fix is to stop using the site. Closing your browser tab counts.

02

Candidates

Using profyle as a candidate

Browsing roles is open to anyone with a browser. Creating an account, getting matched, or applying with a briefing requires you to be 18 or over and to give us accurate information about yourself.

You agree not to: impersonate someone else, submit applications to roles you have no intention of pursuing, or use automated tools to apply at scale. We may pause or close accounts that do.

You’re free to delete your account at any time from your settings. When you do, your candidate profile is removed; applications you’ve already sent stay with the employer who received them, since they’re part of their hiring record.

03

Employers

Using profyle as an employer

To claim or edit a company page, you must be authorised to represent that company: either as an employee, an in-house TA, or an agency engaged by the employer.

Corrections and additions you submit must be accurate. Roles must comply with the Fair Work Act and anti-discrimination law in the state they are based in. We don’t allow ghost roles, pyramid schemes, MLM, crypto-trading bootcamps, or roles paid below the minimum wage.

04

Content

Content & briefings

You own what you write: your candidate profile, your CV, your application briefing, and the role copy you submit as an employer. By posting it on profyle, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site, send it to the relevant employer or candidate, and store it for as long as your account is open.

profyle owns the rest: the page layouts, the company profiles we research, the way roles are structured, the brand. You’re welcome to link to a profyle page; you’re not welcome to scrape, repackage, or train a model on the site without written permission.

05

Acceptable use

Acceptable use

Don’t do anything illegal, abusive, or invasive of someone’s privacy with the data on profyle. That includes harassing other users, scraping the site, attempting to break into accounts you don’t own, sending unsolicited recruitment messages outside the application flow, and uploading malware.

If you spot something dodgy on profyle (a fake role, an impersonating account, a recruiter behaving badly), email hello@profylejobs.com. We read every report.

06

Fees & posting

Fees & posting

profyle is free for candidates. We will never charge candidates to apply, get matched, or be featured. We don’t sell candidate data.

During beta, employers aren’t charged either: we profile companies and roles from the public record and onboard employers by hand. If paid products arrive, pricing will be shown and confirmed before any payment, and these terms updated first.

07

Termination & disputes

Termination, liability & disputes

You can leave any time. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

profyle is a tool for connecting candidates and employers. We don’t guarantee a job, a hire, a response, or any specific outcome. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is capped at the fees you paid to us in the previous 12 months, or A$100, whichever is greater.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute is to be heard in the courts of NSW. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
